Last week, during the celebration of the 11th Micropol & Ecohazard Conference 2019 in Seoul (korea), the IWA Specialist Group has approved the candidacy presented by Francisco Omil to held the next edition of the Congress in Santiago de Compostela. This prestigious biannual event promoted by the International Water Association (IWA) is the most specialized congress on micropollutant removal in drinking and wastewater. Cities such as Zurich, Singapore, Vienna or Seoul hold the congress in previous editions. On June 2021, Santiago will be the venue of the 12th edition.
11th Micropol & Ecohazard Conference 2019
Biogroup had an outsanding participation at Micropol 2019 in Seoul being the third delegation in volumen of presentations. Prof. Juan M. Lema presented a Keynote about "Enzymatic cometabolic biotransformation of organic micropollutants" and Prof. Francisco Omil and the PhD candidates Miguel Martínez and David Kennes presented a total of five oral presentations and several posters.
