Since the alarm state was announced, the biogroup has been participating in some of the actions that the University of Santiago de Compostela is carring out in favor of Galician healthcare Service. 

Last week, some researchers and lab technicians checked the stock of nitrile gloves, hydroalcoholic solutions, masks, PCR, etc. all kind of product that are having highly demand nowadays. We collect a significant amount of these products with the aim of making it available for the healthcare professionals and other professionals who are on the frontline of coronavirus.

This week some of our lab technicians has started to produce disinfectant gel based on ethanol or isopropyl alcohol at the pilot plant of the School of Engineering. The aim is to produce 9,000 liters of this hydroalcoholic solution, that will be distributed in the health centers with a high need of this product.
