20 Apr 2022

On Friday 22 April at 11 am, Lucía Argiz Montes will defend his Doctoral Thesis entitled "Mixed-culture biotechnological processes for lipid-rich effluents valorization", supervised by Prof. Anuska Mosquera Corral and Prof. Mª Ángeles Val del Río.

The main objective of this thesis was to transform the oily fraction of an industrial effluent generated in the fish-canning industry into triacylglycerides (TAGs) and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) using mixed microbial culture (MMC) biotechnologies.

The commission is formed by Prof. Paula María Lima Castro, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), Dr. Leticia Regueiro Abelleira, ANFACO-Cecopesca (Spain) and Prof. Santo Fabio Corsino, Università Degli Studi di Palermo (Italy).
