Julio Conde

Postdoctoral Xunta de Galicia Fellow

Julio Conde studied Chemical Engineering in the USC, MSc in Electrochemistry in UAM and a PhD in Chemical Engineering in UCM. His doctoral thesis about electrode fabrication techniques and the effect of hydrophobicity on the performance of fuel cells. My dissertation entitled: “Electrospray deposition of superhydrophobic carbon-based layers: application in proton exchange membrane fuel cells” was presented in October 2019.
Previously, he worked as a researcher in the Fuel Cells Unit of CIEMAT (Madrid) for 3 years and for almost two years as R&D technician in CETIM Technological Centre (A Coruña). Julio have a multidisciplinary research profile, with a strong focus on electrochemistry combined with specific knowledge on materials science, circular economy and environmental assessment.
