Carlota Vijande
Xunta de Galicia Research Fellow
I studied a degree in Biotechnology at the University of Oviedo. Later, I obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a Master's thesis related to the microbial community responsible for protein fermentation for VFA production.
My current research activity is focused on the degradation of microplastics in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), specifically the microorganisms involved in the process.
