The Group of Environmental Biotechnology (GI-1613) is composed by 10 teachers, 14 post-doctoral researchers, 1 technological manager, 3 technicians, 1 administrative, 1 digital media officer and approximately 30 PhD students, 5-10 students of foreign universities that carry out projects or stays of 3 to 6 months. The Mission of the Group is to generate scientific and technological knowledge useful for a sustainable development of society and to train entrepreneurial researchers, promoting synergies in a human and stimulating environment. Technological and Scientific aims for period 2013-2016:
- Scientific Production: high impact and quality production, new researchers, applications of results
- R+D activities: new projects, new financial sources, new contracts with companies or institutions
- Results: dissemination and transfer
- To develop new patents and exploit them
- Increase number of PhD students and Doctoral Thesis defended
- To coordinate a Marie Curie Action
- To create a new business or company from our own research results
