The Hybrid Membrane bioreactor, developed by the Biogroup, permits to reuse wastewater contaminated by pharmaceutical products for other uses. Espina Obras Hidráulicas, has started to apply this technology to obtain water free of micropollutants for land irrigation, refrigerations systems, etc. This technology has been developed by Prof. Juan Garrido and the researcher Natalia Rey in the frame of Demagua project which is based on seek new technologies for detection and removal of emerging micropollutants.
