Léa Laguillaumie
Postdoctoral Researcher
I completed my doctorate in environmental process engineering at INSA Toulouse (France), at the TBI laboratory, under the supervision of Claire Dumas and Etienne Paul. I specialize in the field of CO2 valorization by biological means with microbial consortia. I am interested in microbial interactions and the engineering of consortia for the functional orientation of biological activities within bioprocesses. I am currently in a postdoc to continue the work initiated during my thesis, and I wish to acquire new skills in the modeling of microbial consortia. This is why I wanted to spend a stay at USC as part of my postdoc, to work with Miguel Mauricio and Alberte Regueira on the bioenergetic modeling of gas fermentation processes.
