PhD Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Alcalá University (UAH). I have specialized training in Environmental Management and Circular Economy at company level (AENOR), as well as a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
My professional experience includes work in the electronic waste sector and in quality and environmental departments within the construction industry. Also, I worked advising companies on carbon footprint assessment and on the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 standard.
I am currently pursuing my PhD under the supervision of Professors Almudena Hospido and Sara González-García. My research focuses on improving the tools used to assess sustainability in agricultural and livestock systems. To this end, I combine Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with Ecosystem Services assessment, incorporating Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The aim is to develop methods that provide a better understanding of both the environmental impacts of production and the benefits that certain farming practices can bring to the environment, thereby contributing to the validation of environmental solutions in rural landscapes.
I am actively involved in several research projects related to sustainability in the agri-food sector, including NUTRITIVE, LAKTIS, I-REWATER, ECOSPHEREWINES, CÓMBARO, and RURALTXA.
With a strong commitment to continuous learning, I seek to promote projects that generate a positive impact and foster collaboration networks.
