The School of Engineering celebrates every year its Leonardo Awards commemorating the birthdate of Leonardo Da Vinci (15th of April, 1452). The ETSE's Day 2024 was opened by Prof. Gumersindo Feijoo, Vice-Chancellor of Digital Transformation and Innovation at USC. Julia González, director of ETSE, welcomed the attendants and Nelly Condory, ETSE secretary, presented the Report on the School's Activities in the academic year 2022-23.

The following students and professors from BioGroup were awarded this year:

- Maite Moreira, Anuska Mosquera and Gumersindo Feijoo received the Leonardo Award for their research activity 

- Brais Vázquez obtained Best MasterThesis award (Master in Environmental Engineering)

- Hugo Quintana received the VIAQUA Award to best Master Thesis "Análise teco-económica da purificación de ácidos graxos volátiles obtidos de correntes residuais"
