Save the date for the 7th IWA Resource Recovery Conference, taking place in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, from 7–11 June 2027. This leading international event will bring together researchers, industry leaders, utilities, policymakers and practitioners to advance resource recovery at the intersection of wastewater management and the circular economy.

Under the theme “Bringing Circular Value Chains to Life”, the conference will focus on translating innovative ideas into practical, scalable solutions that create value for society, industry and the environment.

Following successful editions in Shenzhen, Istanbul, Venice, New York and Ghent, the conference comes to Santiago de Compostela under the coordination of Prof. Marta Carballa, supported by a Local Organising Committee that includes 10 members from the BioGroup. Juan M. Lema, Anuska Mosquera and Miguel Mauricio will serve as co-chairs of the event. Organised in collaboration with the Resource Recovery Cluster, the conference aims to bring together around 500 professionals, ensuring a balanced representation of academia and industry.
