Last December 21, the eco-label "Pescaenverde" was presented at the Food Market of Santiago de Compostela and Ribeira. The eco-label "Pescaenverde", that was developed by the group of Environmental Biotechnology, driven by Prof. Gumersindo Feijoo, provides consumer information about the environmental impact of fishery products while bringing added value to the products that incorporate the brand. This initiative, promoted by the Valorization, Transfer and Entrepreneurship Area of the USC, seeks to promote sales by providing to society information on the benefits of fish consumption for the environment.
