PaolaGuzmán defended today her Doctoral Thesis entitled "Evaluation of the spatio-temporal future effects of climate change on the European dairy sector". Her work was supervised by Assistant Prof. Miguel Mauricio and Associate Prof. Almudena Hospido and Anna Flysjö from Arla Company.
Paola, Biologist from the UMSNH of Mexico, with a master's degree in Energy and Environmental Sciences from the University of Groningen (Netherlands), hold a Marie Curie grant and was a pre-doctoral researcher of the PROTECT network - Innovative Training Network (ITN) in which the USC group of Environmental Biotechnology (biogroup) participated as a partner. Paola focused her research on improving the environmental sustainability of dairy value chains through the combined use of life cycle assessment and risk assessment methodologies. Her work aims to help and support the dairy sector to adapt to the effects of climate change with sustainable practices while addressing the contribution to global warming. Great job!
