Congratulations to Jorge González-Rodríguez for the Defense of his Doctoral Thesis last May, 27th. His work entitled Conceptual design, operation and scale-up of photocatalytic processes integrating magnetic nanocomposites for the removal of micropollutants in wastewater" was supervised by Prof. Maite Moreira and Prof. Gumersindo Feijoo.

He focused his research on the removal of micropollutants from wastewater by developing innovative treatment systems using nanoparticles with photocatalytic properties, approaching from laboratory scale to pilot plant testing.

This research work was developed within the framework of the HP-NANOBIO, SPOTLIGHT and the recently awarded CIES projects, funded by the Knowledge Generation and Proof of Concept calls of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Spanish Government).
