A study from Stanford University, reveals the list of scientists with the highest impact in the world. Juan M. Lema, Maite Moreira and Gumersindo Feijoo are included in this World's Top 2% Scientist list.
For its elaboration, they focused on the almost 7 million researchers who have published more than 5 scientific articles in Scopus, then, there were taken into account some indicators such as, number of citations and h-index, which quantifies the scientific productivity and the impact of the researcher's articles.
Among 160,000 researchers from around the world, there are 2,291 from Spain of which 84 are from Galicia, 39 are from the University of Santiago de Compostela and 3 of them, are from Biogroup.
